Quote of the Week

(In honor of 2020, the year of "perfect vision," I'll start with a quote from Dante's Paradiso on the very theme of "Perfect Vision," taken from Mark Musa's translation of his Divine Comedy)

The more it sees,
The more it moves to reach the good perceived...
There shines the Eternal Light, which, of itself,
Once it is seen, forever kindles love;
And should some other thing seduce men's love,
It can be only some trace of this Light,
Misapprehended, shining through that thing.

- Dante, Paradiso, Canto V:5-12
