Section 26:41-42 (corresponding to Luke 16:8-9)
The master, now seen in a generous light,
Affirmed the steward for his clever insight;
For shrewder in dealing with their own kind
Are children of this world than those of the light.
The wealth of unrighteousness, this world's excess,
Ought not to be used enriching yourselves--
Use it to bless and to serve and make friends,
For they will live on after earthly wealth ends.
And then for your kindness and generous grace,
They'll welcome you homeward with an embrace,
In eternal dwellings beyond this world's wealth,
Where joy's the reward of giving yourself.
