Section 26:37-40 (corresponding to Luke 16:4-7)
So before he turned in all his accounts,
He decided to manage one final round
Of his master's transactions, so that he could
Make his stewardship appear to be kind and good.
He said, 'Then, perhaps, when I'm on my own,
My masters' clients will open their homes
In remembrance of this generous deed,
And offer the kind of job that I need.'
He called in the rich man's clients with debts,
And then for each one, a reduced price was set:
A hundred-count oil became fifty still owed,
And on a bill for wheat, less-twenty now showed.
